Wholly-owned Subsidiaries

Ravenswood is contracted to the UK MoD, to provide a comprehensive, expeditionary Tactical Engagement System (TES) to the British Army’s collective training Centre of Excellence in Kenya. To ensure best service to the UK MoD, the Company established subsidiaries both in Kenya and the UK. They deliver direct support to the customer’s program, as well as increasing our ability to explore opportunities in those regions, lifting our horizons to Europe, Africa and beyond.

Ravenswood Technologies Kenya Ltd (RTKL) take great pride from being a registered, legal entity in Kenya. RTKL delivers a managed service, principally to the British Army but also, increasingly, the Kenya Defence Force. That service delivery relies heavily on local suppliers and sub-contractors, with Ravenswood’s network extending from Nairobi to Nanyuki. It also demands quality people. Notably, 90% of the permanent workforce are recruited locally, rising to 97% when we surge for major exercise commitments. This includes highly qualified Field Engineers (50% of whom are women) and Team Leaders.

To deliver support to high-end collective training requires instrumentation, simulation, battle effects, and high-fidelity exercise data to inform After Action Reviews. This demands both exceptional technology and active partnership. Ravenswood’s Mobile Ground Truth System, based around the exercise control ORION software suite, coupled with Thales’ laser-based live-simulation system, provides the core technical capability.  It supports our analysts who work in close partnership with the Observer/Coach/Trainers and EXCON staff.
